“Horns”

My crush Joe Hill has done it again.  Horns, his newest offering, is original, funny, and a compelling read.

I would say this book is more of an homage to horror than an actual horror novel.  Somewhere on the jacket it’s referred to as a supernatural thriller, and I can go with that.  It tends more toward humor and sadness than the building dread and creepiness of Heart-Shaped Box.  The more I read of Joe Hill, the more I appreciate his range and creative talent.

But what can I say, I’m a fan.  I’m waiting for a Joe Hill romance novel.  Maybe a western.  As far as I can tell, he’s capable of anything!
