  1. Are these the books you’ve already read for 2008? If so, HOW do you read so many books? This amounts to something like 29 books a month since the beginning of the year. Where do you find the time to read so much? I have more time on my hands than almost anyone I know and I can barely tackle a book a week! lol Please tell me your secret!!

  2. Um, yeah…? The scary part is that this includes some vacation time, a class I took, and various other weekly commitments. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been reading more like 9-10 books a week.

My goal is to read a book a day. I just read during my spare time, at lunch, in the evenings, and on weekends. I live alone and don’t have a TV. I guess I just… find the time somehow!

  3. LOL at the first #31. I’ve read only 19 of these. I see you like Starbucks also… best place to read, huh!

  4. How was The Year of Living Biblically? It was part of my inspiration for a year-long reading project but I had just heard about it and hadn’t actually read it.

  5. “The Year of Living Biblically” was fascinating. It’s a little more serious and a little less irreverent than “The Know-It-All.” A.J. Jacobs says that he felt like his project made him a nicer, more spiritual person, even though I think he probably undertook it as something of a joke.

  6. I just happened to stumble across your blog and OMG- you have my respect;-p Anyone who reads this many books deserves an award of some sort lol…

    • Thank you!

What’s funny about this is that you’re looking at 2008. I’ve already read more than that this year. ;-)

      • Wow- I didn’t see that! I am infamous for beginning books and never finishing…. When I read I don’t like putting it down- at all…. I get mad when I have distractions so I just don’t really read as much as I probably should…. but congrats! My mom is a huge book person… she used to be obsessed with romance novels lol- my dad called them gerbils because they seemed to breed like gerbils lol.

  7. I’m the same way about music. I’ll only listen to it when I don’t have any distractions so I can really focus on it.

I know lots of people who only read when they have several hours of quiet time to concentrate. You probably get more out of it that way.
